Frustrating
      #43131 - Sat Aug 09 2008 02:10 AM (96.230.242.128)

Hello,
I have been working on the "finger technique" for a while now and have got it pretty good on my snare and even my toms, but when i try to put them all together on the set it's a disaster! Any ideas why this would be? Also, I have decent double bass (for a beginner) but it sounds really choppy I was wondering what i could do to "smooth" it out if you may. Lastly, I have contemplated for a while on taking drum lessons, but i have heard so many horror stories about people learning "the wrong way" what are some things I should ask before attending? and how much should drum lessons cost for good quality lessons? Thanks again for reading this and i look forward to any advice anyone can give me i am located in Carbondale, Illinois if there is someone on here that would be willing to help me one on one!

Slow everything down until it gets SMOOTH. Then pick up the speed SLOWLY. USE A METRONOME.
