Umphrey's McGee
|
|
Caught them last night on PBS Soundstage.. what a wickedly tight band - and awesome drummer! I'd never heard of them, but first impression is they are a mix of a jam band - prog rock - fusion - did I mention the awesome drummer? (Kris Myers).
They have a lot of videos on youtube; http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=umvideo
These guys put a new spin on the term 'SMOKIN!!'

A friend of mine sent me a DVD of that show and I must agree with you. Very interesting band and I really liked the drummer. This band was very tight and their tunes were really fresh. This concert also featured great audio.

They should make a rule and outlaw bass player jumping. Is it a concert or arobersize?

Very tight - reminded me a little of Dream Theatre/early Metallica.
