definately get into john bonham from led zeppelin (theres a drum book you can get), not only will you learn creative and phat beats, but you will also have a killer right foot that will come in handy if you should ever want to get into double bass drumming. That book is awesome, my drum teacher got me into that my very first year of taking lessons, and i'm glad he did!
If you dont take lessons already, try and practice some snare solo's and all of the rudiments, i know....i hated it too, and its so tedious and boring sometimes but you can create lots of cool different fills by just mix-and matching your rights and lefts on the toms and snare from all of the different rudiments. Also besides bonham, study the work of neil peart and his aggressive african style tom-tom action.....awesome fills!! 2112 and all the other albums are just masterpeices, props to zeppelins albums also.

neil Peart may be just a little advanced for you But learn rudiments. A great book with solos, fills beats and even how to buy and tune your drums is the Complete Idiots Guide to Drums. When my drum teacher told me to get it I thought he was trying to tell me something, but It really is a great book. It teaches you in a logical order how to play jazz, rock, latin etc.. check it out.. and dont worry, no country
