Cool looking snare. Looks like it mounts on a stand like a Roto Tom(??).

Ahoy mate!!!!!! It mounts on a snare stand. The best choice is one with an adjustable "bucket." But that's pretty standard on snare stands today. I think it would be a bit too heavy to mount using a Rims Attachment. Though I never tried it. Hmmmmm! Did you check out the firchie website? http://www.firchie.com

Zarkool: Put oneof those babies on a rims mount and you're asking for trouble. I have one which I use from time to time in recording when I need to run multiple tracks one after the other in different styles. i.e. first tune with a pic sound, second with a deep crunch etc. etc. Took me a while to get used to it and I had to replace the tube lugs after about two years so I went to a Tama style Gladstone tube lug of stainless steel. Those snares are awesome. They project like a mother in live work. Interesting note, before Chambers settled on Pearl drums that's all he played in the early days. Like Dennis I have to use moongel on the Firchie to cool its heels in many areas especially on stage.
