i am just starting with mallets and i woul like to know who would be good to listen to for someone in my place. and really anyone who is good i would love to listen to.

just general player. but classical and ensemble mostly i have not even thought of jazz mallets and improve and all that stuff, but thanks for the names.

As a begginer you might want to look at Rebecca Kite's CD "Prism". I like it for beginners because it has some of the typical pieces that are played early in 4 mallet playing. Such as "Yellow After the Rain," "Mbira Song," "Rain Dance," "Monograph IV," "Frogs," the Musser C Major and some others. It's "fun" music and it's easy to listen to even for a non-Marimba player.
