      #29329 - Sat May 10 2003 06:29 AM (212.124.160.3)

Hi,
I want to know if in double strokes when the stick rebounds it need to rebound into your open fingers (Which the wrist is in a very sharp angle)or needs to lift the wrist with the rebound?

Assaf.

It all depends on the speed at which you're playing the doubles. At a slow enough tempo, you could execute both strokes (RR or LL) using a wrist stroke but at faster tempos you would need to use one wrist stroke followed by a finger stroke for each double (RR or LL). At extremely fast tempos, you would use fingers for both of the double strokes. [Wink]
