I saw their ad in DRUM! magazine and checked out their website and watched a 3 1/2 minute video of a drummer using one screw adjustment on each head to get them in perfect tune with each other in under 2 minutes. That URL is: www.drumtech.com/DTS Sure looks like something most of us would surely love to own...IF its priced right and WORKS right. Does anyone have more detailed info on this unique gear?

I'm not sure but I think its around $40+ per drum head, so at $80 per drum I think I'd rather stick to my tuning key. It's a nice feature to be able to tune the heads up and down like a timpani.. but I get the same effect when I do fine tuning by getting the heads in tune with themselves, then adjusting the relative pitch by going around the hoop and giving each lug a very slight 'squeeze' with the tuning key. I find by doing this I can raise the pitch of the head in semitones almost every time, until it starts to sing.

I priced the system and a 14" tom at a music store in dallas will run around 48 bucks...for both heads. The kits are priced according to drum diameter and number of tuning lugs and each kit comes equipped for both heads.
