I'm curious - what does Compa mean? Is it related to/the Swedish version of 'comping'?
Will check out your videos on 'youtube' soon...!

Well, that's one part of the truth actually:=) The other one is referring to my old IT-carreer, eg. computer-pa. I got several degrees as an IT-Technician and use to do that for some years. But then i found that i wanted to go for the drumming and music entirely so i stopped.

Just checked out your videos on youtube - I must confess I have very little jazz knowledge (unfortunately for me I find a lot of jazz seems to be discordant - in other words I don't really understand it!).
Is it 'free' jazz you are playing (if that's the right term for the improvised stuff)?
How do you decide what to play for the music you are playing - is it more 'in the moment', reacting to the music kind of thing?

Well, Im fully aware of the confusion the music which i participate in can cause to the listener/observer. However, this kind of modern jazz, an abstract form of Art actually, require as i see it, a curiosity from the listener in order to get to know the hughe spectra of dynamics and events that might take place when creating the music in the moment. And since most of it is improvisation you can never be quite shure how it's going to end up.

So you are just winging it each song? Wow!
Is the type of music you play more about dynamics, or is it more about what you can come up with in the moment?

Actually both. Like all styles, music without dynamics tires the listener out pretty fast i think. And since i'm improvising the drumming, ometimes it rox and sometimes it sux, lol:=)
