Here's my quick take on a very cool practice tool:

It's an interactive practice pad with a built-in metronome that offers real time feedback and serious interactive challenges using four skill levels ranging from low to expert.

It consists of five accuracy analyzers:

1) Groove Analyzer that measures your ability to play in the pocket.
2) Dynamic Analyzer that measures your ability to play dynamics evenly between hands.
3) Subdivision Analyzer that measures your ability to play note subdivisions accurately.
4) Tracking Analyzer that helps you improve transitions between notes you choose to play while maintaining correct timing at a constant tempo.
5) Phrase Analyzer that helps improve the accuracy of extended, and potentially complicated, phrases.

In other words, the Rhythmic Analyzer Model RA1200P has the ability to measure, thus allowing you improve, just about every skill important to quality drumming with the exception of speed, which has already been covered by another well known drum device.

I find this unit to be extremely practical and useful in my daily workouts. It can definitely help improve the skills of all drummers, regardless of experience level.
