OK, guys and gals....I said in another post that I had recently purchased another new "used" kit to solidify my reborn enthusiasm for drumming. Well, they arrived last Wednesday and after having played them the last several nights, I'd like to share my opinion of the 7 piece ddrum bubinga kit that now graces my garage/family room. First off these drums are absolutely GORGEOUS. With the outer layer of bubinga being tiger eye bubinga, they look fantastic (so much so that even my wife, once she recovered from the shock of seeing them set up in the garage, said they were the most beautiful kit I had ever had - and I've had MANY kits over the years including my beloved Premier Signias). Now this particular kit consists of a 22x20" bass, 10x8", 12x8"", and 13x9"" suspended ride toms, a 13x7" snare and 16x13" and 18x14" floors with 3 legs each. It is different than any other ddrum bubinga kit I have seen for sale. The seller upgraded all the beater heads to Evans EC2s and put suspension style rubber feet on the floor toms. I suppose you might be wondering how they sound/project:o) AWESOME would be an UNDERSTATEMENT! Once again, even my PO'd wife said they were the BEST sounding drums that I had ever had (and both those comments came from someone who had steam coming out of her ears - guess I should have TOLD her I bought them - nah:o). Anyway, to end this initial eval on the ddrum bubinga kit, I would just like to say that the snare cracks BETTER than my Dunnett Titanium and the rest of the drums are ALL CANNONS! Now if I can only learn to play them the way they should be played:o)

I'd say it sounds a tad deeper/warmer, IMO:o)
