All sounds like great news, and well done lambchops for the great progress and well done FMF for all the hard work!

Do you guys know where I can pick up all these fabled Tiger Bill products? I can only find the TFD Vol 1 DVD on the website!

Thanks

Ross

There should be a link on the site to a shop - follow it and look for books. This book is on sale from Tiger - so if you still can't find it, email him.

I guess I'll have to email him since I don't see it there. Thanks!

I'm going to add, there is a book called Funky Primer by Charles Dowd,if you don't have stick control, this is second best.

Thanks so much for your interest. For those of you who have been searching (in vain) for my book Double Drum, it's currently being reprinted and will be released shortly!

Drummers have been called my book "decades ahead of its time" and I greatly appreciate it. Although I originally published it way back in 1978, looking at it objectively myself today the material seems even more relevant today than when it was when I first wrote it.

It even contains what today is known as a Blast Beat, which pre-dated both the term "Blast Beats" and the Metal style of drumming itself!

Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

And thanks again!

Hello everyone, I'm thinking of getting this book. But, I don't use double bass. I'm looking it that I would like to get my feet together in a way just the same way as my hands are and then connect the two. Pretty obvious I guess. Does anyone use this book with just a single peddle and a high hat? Have you noticed a difference in your playing? Independence? Ideas?

Thanks!

Its all about the notes you don't play.

I do just that. The time I spend practicing double bass (using Bill's book in particular, or just practicing DB in general) is so I can be at least somewhat prepared for my students - the gigs I get don't really call for double bass work.

Even my students who are playing a double bass pedal, I have them do some of the exercises with left foot on hi-hat, or on a block or bell played with the left foot. There are some exercises in Bill's book that benefit from having each foot produce a distinct sound - phrases where both feet play in unison, or where the same rhythm is played using different "stickings."
