Im playing traditional country, 50s and early 60s rock, big band swing and western swing with a not really loud 5 piece dance band...the bandstand is carpeted and there is a sound deadening 4 foot wall right next to me. We've talked about this before and I still say that if you are looking for richness and retaining all the properies in the durms, give Aquarian coated Focus-X a whirl. I doubt you'd be disappointed. I just wanted to see what some of the other guys might suggest. Steve suggested the Studio X but since I already had a new Focus X that I had tried on the copper...I pretty well had an idea of how they would sound on the Oaks. I also got the Emad Coated for the kick which was your suggestion as well. Steve said the Woolee was shipped Saturday so it should arrive before the end of the week.
