The "Woolee" drum tuning tool
      #46975 - Wed Jul 21 2010 09:58 AM (76.198.248.51)

Guys, I have to tell you that Roger Strange is one savvy guy and such a great help to any and all of us drummers.
He put me onto the "Woolee", which is an "object" used in conjunction with one's ears and a bit of finger tapping to tune your drums probably better than you ever got them.
For any of you who are interested in this...go to the section where we get to tell about new drum gear etc as I will give a full description of it, how it works and if possible, a couple of pics of it...in use !
Thanks again Roger for putting me onto it.
Thanks Roger for putting me onto this amazing tool

It sounds like an interesting piece of equipment.

I posted an in-depth explanation of how it works and what it is, how much it costs and where you can pick it up at and if you follow the URL, it will take you to my MYSPACE.com blog and I have the pics for viewing...Posted today on the MEMBERS REVIEW Section.

Note from Forum Moderator Tiger Bill - Sorry but I don't allow outright advertising on the Forums. For those who are interested in the Woolee, however, I will soon be posting a video review that will contain information on where you can purchase it.

I need to make one correction: The Woolee does not MUTE the overtones...it helps reduce the fundamental tone so you can hear the overtones more clearly which makes it a more musical pitch.
