It really depends on your playing style. I personally feel like this was the best chain driven pedal I've played on. It was very smooth, the slave felt very comparable to the master pedal. It was almost effortless to play alternating 16ths up to tempos of about 140 but seemed to lack at anything faster. They are very solid pedals that Im sure would serve you well for many years but I personally would save a bit more money and cross over into the direct drive world.

I have a Tama Iron Cobra (belt drive).
Compared to a chain-driven (my Pearl Eliminator), the strokes feel less momentum (the extra power that a chain drive gives) so more sensitive for a better word.
Love the Iron Cobras adjustibility. However I am size 9.5 (UK size) what is that 45 in US? And the footboard is too small. I play heel-toe and I found you need a footboard that will accomodate the size of your foot or sole of your foot.
I want to get rid of the Iron Cobra, just that it doesnt suit my foot size.
