Absolutely amazing...
It seems that deaf or blind musicians have an uncanny sense of musicality. One of my favorite drummers is Stevie Wonder because his groove is so deep and had a different feel than most drummers did back in the Motown era, IMO.
I beleive what she said about the hearing is more that just the ears just as the mind is more than just in the head. I have a friend who is a deaf percussion player and he worked SO hard and is a better listener than most people I know.
She's spot on about playing the music rather than what's on a sheet of paper. The purpose of music is to express yourself and to move others in a selfless way.
