I've been getting a large amount of tension in my left hand which runs from the back of the hand, all the way up the forearm until it hits the elbow (but absolutely never with my right) when practicing my rudiments at 160+ bpm. A local drum teacher even told me that this tension was acceptable! Am I to understand that if I practice all the stuff that these tension-free drumming DVDs offer, that I can actually get RID of this horrible tension that I've been struggling with for so long??!!??! It sounds like the drum equivalent of winning the lottery!
