It's time to pull out a soft sounding 4-piece with a chime tree, soft percussion such as cup chimes, brushes, mallets and all that good stuff and loosen back up the hands to fluidity. You are doing yourself a dis-favor in not playing. Plus it seems avoiding a talent given to you at conception. 5 years is long enough for a lay-out.
