Yes - I think the Giovannis will fit the bill. They are kind of expensive (like the LP mini-tims), but it's probably because it includes a stand and 2 drums. I just need one drum of each type to attach to my stand.. so the DW with the arm is perfect.. now I just need to find out if I can buy 1 Giovanni and attach it somehow.
I have used double snares or a metal snare converted to a timbale.. but they are too much effort to lug around, which is why I'm looking for mini-drums which sound good when mic'd. Thanks!
