Being able to switch from short board to long board within a few minutes was a big plus. The beaters are quite unique...in the middle of the beaters, there is a nylon composite insert and then Felt on the top and the bottom side of the ring type insert and they give you a sharp attack along with the typical felt "thud". They are much heavier than the DW 7000's although I use my DW's on the road kit and they are a superb double pedal. Final opinion on the Demons...Well worth the expense and the case is very well made and very functional and it looks good as well. -------------------- If a man offends thee....give to each of his children- a drum~ Post Extras
