Wild Bill Coady Clutch

I recently received a prototype of a hi-hat clutch that is truly unique, so much so that the inventor (Wild Bill Coady) was granted a patent on the device.

What makes this clutch so unique is its dual functionality. It can be used in the active mode by stiking it to make the top hi-hat cymbal drop, like any standard hi-hat clutch, and it can also be actived in the passive mode by simply removing your foot from the hi-hat pedal!
